About Makenzie:

I strive to create a warm, safe, open, non-judgmental space where you feel seen, understood, accepted, and supported. My approach to therapy is compassionate, relational, and collaborative. I enjoy fostering strong connections with my clients, while helping you work towards your goals for mental, emotional and relational well-being.

My specialized experience includes working with relationships, in both individual and couples therapy. I aim to support you in improving your communication and sense of connection within your relationships, while also exploring ways to honor yourself and your needs. I have supported couples at various life stages, particularly during key transitions such as engagement, marriage, or transitioning into parenthood.

I have specialized experience in perinatal mental health, offering support for those navigating the transitions of family planning, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Together, we can process the complex emotions during this transformative time, as well as explore preventative measures for your mental, emotional health, and relational health.

Philosophy and approach

My goal is to provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. As a relational therapist, I understand the importance of finding the right therapeutic fit. I enjoy connecting with clients through empathy, authenticity, warmth, and humor, when appropriate. I utilize a personalized approach in working with each individual client and enjoy collaborating with you to meet your goals. I deeply recognize the courage it takes to begin this journey and seek support. I’m here to work alongside you, collaborating to help you achieve your goals and find the healing you’re looking for in therapy.
